This one had been on our radar for a while. Casey Calvert as a doctor who slowly crosses the line during a routine exam, with Lily Lane as the patient who isn’t sure when “procedure” stopped being the right word for what’s happening.
Medical scenes are one of our longest-running formats. We’ve shot dozens of them over the years, and the ones that work best have that slow burn where the power dynamic shifts without anyone acknowledging it out loud. Casey is perfect for that. She’s got the composure to sell the clinical side while making the audience feel like something is very clearly off.
Lily plays the uncertainty exactly right. She’s not fighting it, she’s not into it. She’s just… processing. That ambiguity is what makes the scene interesting. It’s not about the restraints or the instruments. It’s about neither of them saying what’s actually happening.
We shot this with a colder color grade than most of our stuff. Wanted it to feel sterile and off-putting in a way that makes the intimacy land harder. Production-wise it’s one of the tighter medical scenes we’ve done.
